it is their own decision. i just asked for information.

if they don't take money and companies use it for free advertising, thamizmanam is total loosu. :) :)

Not only some companies take advantage of thamizmanam's loosuness even other 'services' use thamizmanam without giving credit or link to thamizmanam on their sites. For example, see satrumun. Under 'pathivu thiraddukal' all non-descript sites are given links but thamizmanmam is conspicuously missing. Satrumun managers are really smart. They get free news and get free ride. Way to go!

தமிழ்மணம் விரும்பினால் they can insert inline ads. the aggregate all sort of blogs. rather than thamizmanam is loosu, pyramid saimira is a smart company.

This idiot forgot something basic... satrumun is a blog. A blog just like any other blog aggregated by Thamizmanam. so tha blame is on every blogger.

thamizmanam managers are smarter they just sit and aggregate. super way to go.

:) :) :)

then finally you know who is really loosu.. people who rely on aggregators, making stupid sites like Thamizmanam famous. What is an aggregator? it is not a site it is a 'parasite'. Think of it. It lives on other people's work..

but they would easily blame satrumun.

we need aggregators. when new bloggers come, we will never know who they are unless that blogger can tell me their feed and i can read it myself.

i would never have found some of these blogs . no one will ever find my blog without an aggregator except a few friends.

Hello Mr. 'nameless' I enjoyed your outbursts. If you don't understand the aggregation process, thamizmanam managers DON'T aggregate; the bloggers link their posts and thamizmanan site DOES aggregation. Period.

I don't want to stress you up more. Have a relaxed weekend :-)

Another anony who pointed about the ping links to thamizmanam and thenkoodu in satrumun. It is there to its advantage i.e. to link the posts to these aggregators. But notice that they have given special links for manual aggregators/archives, matru, gilli under pathivu thiraddukal.

BTW, I used satrumun only as an example. Satrumun fans don't need to get upset about it. I also use it to get 'hot' news (othewise how would I know about things I am talking).

anony,
I am amazed by your wisdom and the way you have instant answers.

If bloggers link their posts and the software aggregates then how come there are removing unwanted posts, filtering this and that, rejecting to aggregate etc?

You talk as if you are the most innocent of the lot. hahaha

ullal,
The answer to your question is a simple no. No one can charge anyone for advertising in their blog. That's what blog is all about.. I mean that's what the internet is all about. If thamizmanam or any such service including Blogger, wordpress were to look at the personal advantages people get (monetory or otherwise) and charge them then there would be hardly anyone using the Internet I suppose.

Thamizmanam is doing an excellent service. But do not attach way too much to it. If you want to know who is blogging newly it could be done through several ways.. and if you are an important and worthy blogger people would come to you. This is what is happening to blogs worldwide.

If Thamizmanam was to charge people then peopla also have the right to charge TM for using their blogs... think about it...

If I am rajinikanth, i don't need an aggregaor. But I am not rajinikanth.

Also, somebody has invesed lot of time and money to run thamizmanam.

If you look at TM as a community, then I don't like these billboard blogs being dished out here, as ugly as the mount road mega posters. I would dthrow them out.
